In his works, Verlon attempted to confront the different levels of reality in the subjective and objective worlds, which served as a bridge between 'reality” and abstraction. His works repeatedly contain references to the potential dangers of excessive technologisation of the world, and his early paintings reflect a distinctly pacifist stance. (Belvedere Collection)
