The Austrian watercolorist Ludwig Schädl (born in Vienna in 1920) was a well-known painter of the 20th century. He specialized almost exclusively in finely glazed, highly detailed watercolors on paper. His principal subjects include nostalgic views of Vienna, sacred buildings such as the Karlskirche, as well as landscapes from Lower Austria.
