‘Studied painting at the Vienna Academy under R. Bacher and F. Schmutzer from 1911-14. Belonged to the circle around the poster artist Julius Klinger from 1925-38. Emigrated to France in 1938. Until 1949 he lived in Aix en Provence, where he was briefly interned. After his return to Austria, he became a member of the Vienna Secession and in 1955 of the Künstlerhaus.
Kosel was a painter and commercial artist.’
