The realization in 3-dimensional highly embossed enamel is perfect for the works of Mel Ramos. As a pop artist, he was fascinated by the effect of the steel signs in their brilliant colours. Enamel signs have been advertising media all over the world since the beginning of the last century, in department stores, on the street or at the grocer's next door. No other medium reproduces the absolute reality and trivial staging of advertising typical of Pop Art like the classic enamel sign. (Atila Kirbas)
