The inlaid shelf was made to order according to Ernst Fuchs' precise designs and was used as a bed headboard for a long time. With this intricate woodwork with ornate details, Fuchs has created a fascinating, multi-dimensional work of art that blurs the boundaries between painting and sculpture. The mystical motifs and precise workmanship lend the piece a timeless, almost transcendental aura.
